Yaacov - Re: "I am indeed relieved by your post and I like to thank your for your courtesy to explain things to me."

I'm sorry I confused you in the first place, Yaacov.

Also, Mary Cluney has been an SI contributor for a while in which time you haven't been posting. So, I guess I confused her as well since she probably wasn't aware of your prior involvement on this thread. My apologies to Mary as well.

Back to Intel.

This company is going through a difficult period and the stress on the company is going to be reflected immediately on its investors - such as us.

These difficulties - transisitoning to Pentium II, sub $1000 PC, DEC law suit (hopefully over), competition from AMD and Cyrix/NSM, and severe pricing pressures, are going to cause some severe shaking of Intel's foundation. In turn, Intel's investors will be shaken (even more!)as well.

One thing we must all keep in mind is that Intel has been exccedingly good over the long haul. The road immediately ahead is going to be full of potholes, so let's be prepared to hang on for the future - while the near term may may not be very pleasant.
