Well, you missed the point. The normal 'entertainers' always go over the top (from the group you cited, Moore and Maher mostly). That's not only expected, but, as I noted, the normal dirty politics. Look past the screaming (I know that's difficult) at the side effects. Death threats to lawmakers are up dramatically. Militia groups are reemerging, and spewing their violent crap. Blatant lies about our president - that he is a Muslim with a secret terrorist agenda; that he is a Marxist/Socialist; that he was born outside of the US - are now embedded in a disturbing percentage of rightists. For pete's sake, 24% believe he may be the Anti-Christ. We've gone beyond the normal "I hate your side because you're in power" to an intensity that promotes - nay, even cries out for - a violent response. If Obama really IS the anti-Christ, isn't it the duty of every Christian to try to physically destroy him? If Obama is really out to destroy democracy, isn't it the duty of every citizen to rise up in arms? If the government really IS out to get us, isn't it time to overthrow them? Don't you see it? Supposedly 'responsible' and 'smart' people - backed by 'fair and balanced' major media outlets - have told these masses that Obama is, in fact, the devil. To ignore this growing tide of lies and hate - to laugh it off as business as usual - is fine, until the next rented Ryder truck parks outside YOUR office building...
