Heard only read rave reviews of The Big Short.
I agree also with the rest of your post.
Now off to the land of 'La'.

The day McCain selected Palin was the day I sent an e-mail to "Ann Corrigan", one of SI's resident rightwingnuts, saying simply: "McCain just ended his chances." or something short & sweet to that effect.

Yes, people listen to Beck, Palin & Limbaugh, but that didn't win the 2008 election or maintain support for the Iraq war. I suspect the rightwing screamers are popular for the same reason as "Man bites dog!" stories... stupid ranting is more entertaining than serious discussion. In the end, however, the swing voters generally fall back on common sense.

Most people are still listening to Beck and Palin and that is what really worries me.

Speaking of the Supreme Court, I liked this comment posted to the CNN boards:

The President could nominate Jesus and the so called Christians of the right would object by calling him a radical community organizer who was anti establishment and a turn the other cheek kinda guy. He would be too soft and tolerant for their liking. Anyway, he told people not to judge, so likely he wouldn't take the job. But, on the other hand if he did, he would work for free, because he wasn't about the money. And, one great thing about him, he wasn't a lawyer or a professional politician.

...And the supreme court.
