When I'm at our lake place, I can feel stress draining off of me like a warm rain. We call it "Ellen's Aftering" because when my Dad was alive he dreamed of a place for doing all the aftering he wanted to do after he did the 'have to' stuff. He finally was able to live there with Mom part of the year for a many years before he died there. We still feel his presence there, and that's where his ashes will stay forever. It's still in the family and we love it. When I'm there I like to take note of which mountain peak the sun rises behind. Every day it's a little different. If I had good enough records I could tell the date by looking at the sunrise.
