If any President had been elected and not Obama, the US would be in exactly the same pickle wrt debt and deficits. Am I ok with that? No. That's why it is necessary for us to cut spending and increase taxes.

However, we have a problem. Americans love their entitlements, the Dems love to give them to Americans, and the GOP never agrees to increase taxes.

So what options are left? There's only one option I can think of and that's to grow our way out of the debt overhang. That means we need to seriously invest in this country's future, which include renewable energy and other fast growing industries. But even that will not be enough unless the Dems cut spending and the GOP gets on board with tax increases.

Are you ok with increasing taxes to help solve these problems, including letting expire Bush's massive two tax cuts?
