It's not intellectually dishonest. Everyone watched as the GOP decided to scream hysterically about death panels and socialism, instead of coolly working with Democrats to get their priorities included in the bill. Then they voted unanimously against the bill.

There strategy was simple. They are following an all or nothing plan so they can delay, stall, and obfuscate on this country's problems, rather than allow the Dems to get any credit for solving them.

The GOP game is not about solving problems; it is about regaining power. If they wanted to solve problems, they would be working with Dems to get their amendments in and you wouldn't see 100% GOP members voting against the important bills.

Goose stepping doesn't solve problems. The Dems have already figured out what the GOP is up to and now the Dems are going to go it alone. I'd rather see GOP constructive involvement, because when the Dems go it alone we get bills that are farther to the left. I'd prefer centrist bills that are less disruptive and more market oriented, but I want solutions. If the only ones capable of giving us solutions are Dems, then so be it.
