For every elected politician there are thousands of hard working Americans with careers in public service -- in every walk of life. And they rise to the top in their careers. People like Palin are useless people who pander to the worst sort of ideological pablum and get voted in by playing people's emotions and prejudices like a fiddle -- they are not those who 'rise to the top of government'.
