9 months? On paper maybe. You are forgetting the mandatory unpaid summer seminars, the 2 weeks before school starts, the 2 weeks after school ends, the 2 weeks of continuing ed, and the comp time from working weekends and nights at home to keep up with all the paperwork and necessary planning requirements to spend each and every hour of the school day teaching. You guys see the school calendar and assume its the actual working hours. You're oblivious to what really goes on.
