From the photo, it doesn't look like they were there for a short time.

I don't know how you tell from a photo how long someone was there.

I can say that I walked across that corner at least a half dozen times during daylight hours after 11am, and I would have seen them from my room between 10-11am. So, they could have been there from 8-10am without difficulty, and there was probably a 2 hour period in the PM when I wasn't around there. I did see the Amnesty International people on Saturday, and they only stayed a few minutes but there weren't as many.

That's because they were there on Friday. You need to start reading the links I post.

OTOH, there was a TON of excitement amongst Republicans after the speeches and I was astounded at the support for Palin. I was in the hotel lobby talking with some of the attendees afterward and they were very excited.

And yet, she only polled 4th among the delegates. How do you explain the gap between your perception and the reality?

Palin would not be my choice for 2012, but I think the Ds are nuts to count her out. She is far more experienced than Obama was two years ago, and while the Hard Left has ridiculed her, most people in the country aren't going to view her in the same way as you guys are.

I am not counting her out at all. I hope to God the Rs run her.
