Those are low crime areas in D.C. Last year I wrote about a young woman working in one of the public schools in NE D.C. She feared for her life as she parked to enter a school that had security guards due to the drug traffickers on the streets and near the school. This young woman left the school system and has a job elsewhere--------she is smiling again as she has eliminated the stress of fear of going to work in a high crime environment. She loved the children and wanted to teach and help but couldn't considering the conditions of the high crime in the area she taught in. Sidwell Friends where Obama's daughter go is considered a safer area and of course is a private school. Obama has followed the pattern of Democrats------they want to control public education-----as they send their children to expensive elite schools. "Don't do as I do, do as I tell you to do in the public schools."
