Get some back issues of Dr. Dobbs, say from 1980 or so. When France introduced Minitel around that time, there was a lot of press in the geek circles. You have, in no way, supported any aspect of your claim. And while I have all those old issues of DDJ in my attic -- all of which were dutifully scoured at the time, I'm not about to get up there and go through them looking for references to Al Gore.
