Definitely that yes.

When Katrina wrecked the gulf pipelines for natural gas it gave a friend of mines company a 2 year backlog of sub sea floor rework. He's a director on the board of an oil service company.

The shale deposits are found in Ft Worth,Tx La border near Shreveport,Wyoming.Pennsylvania AND Colorado.

Each is massive - in fact the USA may not onnly be the Saudi Arabia of coal but Natural Gas most likely as well.

Each shale zone is having 42-48 inch gas pipeline built to span the USA east to west.

At this point,it will displace diesel in the big rigs and they'll all convert to Natural Gas.

This will drop demand for diesel tremendously.Only 17 gallons of diesel come from a barrel of oil vs 30 plus for gas.

My partner here at the GM store is much more invested in HD truck dealerships:Volvo,Mack Kenworth.

Future Diesel rigs will be exclusively built by each OEM.Unlike in the past diesels were selected from cumming,Cat, Detroit Diesel etc.

They will now be exclusive to the big truck OEM i.e.,Paccar.Volvo,Mercedes.

This will lock in their exclusivity of parts and diesels will quickly become obsolete.

All of the shale gas is distributed by pipelines - very efficient and very durable.

We could actually become an exporter. But first the politicos want to derive income from the resource harvesting - then it'll be OK.
