Technology Stocks : Intel Corporation (INTC) -- Ignore unavailable to you. Want to Upgrade?

Lev, sorry, can't agree on 'keep buying more expensive PCs'.

Especially not for the 'corporate buyer' (meaning those buying
in the 1000's). A smart terminal (or dump PC) is enough sitting
on a network of more powerful servers.

The problem in desktop PCs is management, configuration control,
system administration, ..etc. It's OK for small office and home
use. Buy a lower-cost one and throw it away when the useful life
expires (no need to upgrade, it's more expensive than buying a
new one).

Also, sub-zero is a 'figurative term', it does not mean 'junk' as
some keep trying to paint those machine to be.

A pentium-166 WAS a dream machine a year or so ago, what make it
a 'junk' in a year. Just because INTEL needs to sell new higher
price product should not render its 'last-year's dream CPU' a 'junk'.

The ONLY HOPE for intel in the CPU market is CYRIX/AMD screwed up
on production.

No, I don't mean INTEL will lose market share much, I mean money/
profit margin wise, this is not INTEL has a good handle on.

"Try IE4 on ...". I'm hoping I don't need to. NC is my surfing
machine.

Wish someone organize the 'linux' thing and forget about MSFT/Bill.

Now, just try to run IE4 on one of these sub-zero machines...

IE4 runs very well on a P90.
