Klaus, read that a little closer... we're talking
*engineering* competence, not *marketing* competence.

Microsoft's OS is good enough that it crashes or hangs
every other time I try to use it. Microsoft's marketing
is good enough to make people think that that's acceptable.

Unfortunately, SGI's marketing sucks and the company
is left to give in to what everyone thinks they want.

Well enough marketed. Well enough engineered is another story; and
it took Microsoft *ages* to get it even to this level of
'competence'.

If engineering competence could be bought, NT would have been half decent well before its 4.0 version.
