"Huh? I thought taxes were their big thing."

It was supposed to be. Now, this should not be a huge surprise, nascent political movements usually are a little confused. And this one is a little different because the GOP and corporations has been trying to co-opt them from the start. That is why I don't think it will survive, groups who have no interest in real change have too much power.

The only thing that might keep them going is their hatred of Obama......but then given their demographic...white, well off and over 45....next winter might bring an end to their movement.......esp. if they don't do as well in Nov. as they expect. White, well off people don't like cold weather. ;-)

Which doesn't mean they can't splinter and give full voice to their populism. I am a little dubious, but who knows?

IMO the real populism in this country is the group that got Obama elected. They are the people at the margins.......people of color, gays, women, et al.
