No I don't agree with any of that. But saying the crooks that participated in the looting are heroes is a bit of a stretch. Got Stockholm Syndrome running rampant in S FLorida?

There was a serious depression in 1920-1921, and it was over in about a year. It was severe, but we were back up and running pretty quick without Mr. Keynes.

President Harding actually cut spending that year in response to lower tax receipts.

The US recovered in 1933 not because of Keynesian economics. The US recovered primarily because Roosevelt devalued the currency by 50%.

In 1930 the US was the world's largest exporter. The Smoot Hawley Tariff Act really made the US depression a lot worse than it would have been. The currency devaluation mitigated the effects of Smoot Hawley and jump started the recovery.

Roosevelt's labor policies actually hurt the economy and was a factor in the double dip in 1937-1938. The high continued unemployment in the 1930's was also partially due to the huge productivity gains that continued both on the farm and in factories.

Central planning is not the answer.

John, a valiant effort to try to educate. In the end some will always put bias before reason. People wish to be entertained with emotion, most do not delight in reason and objectivity.

The market sifts things out, most of those with heavy bias will buy at the top or on the way down.

i have no intention to buy gold, to get guns(i don't even own a gun), i have zero interest in that which is called survivalism--people that fear death , that is their problem, i don't have that burden(a fear of death)--running living scared is a sad way to "live".
Glenn Beck is a dimestore demogogue --just a meanspirited ego trip on a power trip --- in the category of Limbaugh's ilk, and i say all that yakety-yak so i , a true outsider, can then say The Doomster are right this time---- so you got the bad luck to be born in one of those " when the shit hits the fan major miseries" that have occurred through out history--so it goes, sorry John.
That is just an objective appraisal of the world's reality.Max
