Democrats have pushed for lack of responsibility for decades. That has been an opposing theme differentiating the two major parties through my lifetime. Kenneth's post reflects that position. The home owners do have a current loss. That does not mean that they do not have an obligation to fulfill...and as you pointed out, they would fight tooth and nail if the values had increased.

It is too bad how dishonest and irresponsible people are...
