Goldilocks............ As if jobless claims wasn't enough, the report on Capacity Utilization shows only minor gains in March MoM. Normal non-recessionary Capacity Utilization figures are in the low 80's. Right now it is at 73.2%. Consider this. The figure started the year at 72% and thus has climbed 1.2% so far this year. If we imagine this pace continues, it would take 7 quarters to get to 80%, i.e., the end of 2011. Until producers are at capacity they will choose to expand production rather than raise prices. No inflation on the horizon.
