An End To Pre-Existing Conditions...Adults With Pre-Existing Conditions Covered

In other words an end to responsible insurance underwriting.

Small Business Tax Credits

In other words a subsidy, or at least something with the same effect as a subsidy.

Seniors Get 'Donut Hole' Rebate

In other words a removal of the provision that made senior patients pay some of their own costs, and thus a reduction in cost control.

No Lifetime Caps

In other words an increase in the cost of providing insurance.

The End Of 'Recissions' - Insurance companies can no longer cut someone when he or she gets sick.

They couldn't legally cut someone just because they got sick before. If its truly the end of recessions than its an open invitation to fraud. If its a tightening of recessions, than it possibly could be good, but isn't as big of deal as some claim.

Transparency In Insurance Companies

In other words more reporting requirements, in this case designed around trying to produce information that is then used by the supporters of "reform" to distort reality and support big government programs.

Indoor Tanning Services Tax

More taxes and more cost imposed by government. And this is hardly the only example in the law.

Nutrient Content Disclosure

More big government interference, promoting reduced sizes and flexibility of menus. (See hotair.com )

Better Coverage For Early Retirees

More spending forced on those who hire and pay people. If the government covers it than more big government spending instead.

The Secretary of Health and Human Services will set up a new Web site to make it easy for Americans in any state to seek out affordable health insurance options

We need a 2500 page bill and a government take over of control of the policies from the health insurance industry for this? I doubt much will come of it, and to the extent it does any good its no justification for the law.

A two-year temporary credit (up to a maximum of $1 billion) is in the bill to encourage investment in new therapies for the prevention and treatment of diseases.

$1bil over two years out of trillions over many years.
