SPECIAL CATALYSTS PYROLYSIS

Rivertree International recycles waste using the Special Catalysts Pyrolysis technology. The process is by heating the organic substances into a reduced-oxygen environment. It is a thermos chemical process whereby organic compounds are converted (decomposed) during heating in the oxygen-free atmosphere. In the process, long-chain organic material disintegrates when exposed to the high temperature thermal flux. Therefore, scrap tires pyrolysis is the process of heating the tire or powdered tires in a temperature of 280-420°C without oxygen access and thus reduces the tires into 4 by products:

1 Fuel Oil 40-45%

2 Carbon Black 30-35%

3 Steel Wires 10-15%

4 Hydrocarbon gas 5-8%

There are many positive impacts by using this pyrolysis technology, most importantly, through using the recycled carbon black alone will avoid the generation of a minimum of 5 tonnes of CO2 emissions from the production of a single tonne of virgin carbon black. In addition, it resolves environmental problems arising from the disposal of scrap tires of course, and to protect the environment by recycling and providing back significant energy resources. We can recover the maximum value from tires (e.g. materials and energy) and preserve fossil fuels and minerals.

THE COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE

The most important feature in our Special Catalysts Pyrolysis machine is the chamber temperature, by having our chamber heating at only low temperature (280°C to 420°C); not only that explosion and over-heating is not a concern anymore, more importantly there is no emission of carbon monoxide and no emission of poisonous gases. With this feature and competitive advantage, the plant can be built in practically any location with its “ZERO” emission technology, and conform and any local government or provincial’s environmental policy and regulation.

Secondly, our machine uses low pressure thus able to shorten the disintegration process, and with the use of the catalysts, the entire pyrolysis process is faster, the quality of the fuel oil can be easily monitored and controlled, and lastly, the content of sulfur is very low. Clearly, Rivertree International’s Special Catalysts Pyrolysis machine has no negative impact on the environment and it is definitely proven to be commercially viable.

A “ZERO” EMISSION TECHNOLOGY

The carbon black, fuel oil and steel can be sold and the hydrocarbon gases released through the pyrolysis can be used as fuel at the pyrolysis plant. Excess gas can be used to run generator to provide electricity to the plant.

The yield of the oil has broad fuel properties similar to commercial grade light fuel oil/diesel fuel. For example, the energy value of the oil is about 42 MJ kg depending on the process condition. Therefore, the pyrolysis oils may be combusted directly or be added to the petroleum derived fuels.

The pyrolysis gases are composed of mainly hydrogen, methane and other Hydrocarbons and have sufficient energy value that they can be used to provide the energy requirements of the pyrolysis process. The solid carbon residue left after pyrolysis has the potential as a solid fuel or as ca
