My opinion is based on what I see day to day from the many 70-somethings in the Senate, several of who are running for new 6-year terms. Talk about no change to believe in...it's one of the real blocked arteries in our system. I don't see how we are better off with all those old entrenched battle axes as committee chairs, instead of passing the torch to the next generation and giving up those seats for new young blood to come in and perhaps reflect the modern generation too. None of this will change so it's academic, sadly.
