Everyone thinks I am making a blanket condemnation of the elderly. I am referring specifically to the over-70's in the Senate and especially those running for new terms now. Looking over the list, I don't see any stellar contributors myself. I see a bunch of time servers who really haven't had original ideas in many years, just sit around and take up space.

If folks want to make a specific argument to the contrary based on actual senators and their actual contributions, feel free. I stand by my point.
