People are more concerned about taxes going up in the future due to Obama's agenda... The fact of the matter is that taxes will be going up a lot both directly and indirectly because of Obama & Congress...

Obama has raised taxes, first the tobacco tax, then the taxes associated with Obamacare. Together they are far larger than the one or two year cuts he has made.

And on top of that he plans to increase the top two income tax brackets and is even talking about a VAT.

The only surprise from the poll is that only 34% percent think he's raised taxes, it should be a lot higher.

taxes are now at a 60-year low

No they are not. Tax rates where lower from early in the Reagan administration until the Clinton tax increase, and the rates where the same from the 2nd Bush cut until now.

The moral of this story is that a lot of people are woefully ignorant of both facts and history.

Starting with the person who wrote the comment you quote.
