He can't. He's been defending it (the MA plan) too much, for too long and too recently. Similarities, differences - doesn't really matter. Much as I like him, and would love to see he & Paul Ryan team up, I think his role in the MA plan will end up weighing him down. That's a lotta baggage to carry.

I saw Romney on Fox a few days back attempting to distinguish the Massachusetts program from ObamaCare. He was having a difficult time of it. He'd be better off falling on his sword and admitting it didn't work out and he's learned his lesson.
