To all, does anybody have access to historical NYSE and NASDAQ closing prices volumes? I am trying to do some money-flow estimates to see if market's declining volume is due to declining liquidity. After the "little guy" braved it on last Tuesday, the momentum geeks (MG) have started bidding the junk up again. I am trying to see if they have any money left for this type of rally to continue. The MG's have some nerve to bid AOL higher even after they saw what could happen to stocks like Intel! Today the market tested my important barrier: 7750 and failed! Most importantly, it failed to close above the Oct 24th closing price of 7715. If it closed above this, it will be a difinite psychological boost to the bulls. Hopefully today's action will bring some fear back in to the game. When the fear is back and the liquidity is of concern, watch out below! Also, keep an eye on the dollar. I think the next shoe will drop if the $ shows significant weakness against other major currencies. Another possibility is that if the bonds rally in haste to yields below 6%, it signifies that bond market is concerned about deflation. Then, the stocks will face some music - IMHO! -Mohan
