Cool Aid only went just so far I guess. (Particularly after the big three econometric analysis --- even the private one the WH specially contracted for and instructed to assume "dynamic" Laffer Curve revenue benefits from the tax cuts --- ALL showed that unless he cut his deficit spending surge by mid-decade the beneficial effects of lower rates on GNP and revenues would all be washed away.... Exactly what history revealed to be true and exactly on the predicted schedule....) Score one for econometric modeling for a change!
