Wrong...Clinton increased the ceiling of taxed income to $85K in 1993.

Chump change in the grand scheme of things. The big effort was in 1983. It's been that long since anyone has more than nibbled at the edges.

R's have made increasing taxes politically impossible...Look what they did to the health care bill just passed..

You didn't notice the load of tax increases in that bill? It's hardly "impossible" to enact tax increases.

I realize that the R's do make it hard to increase taxes. They would prefer to cut benefits. I notice that you jumped on the tax side of this and conveniently avoided the benefits side. The D's are just as stubborn about benefits as the R's are about taxes. You can't rasonably blame the lack of attention on one side only.
