That was Nixon tapping into the moderates' fears about the social changes wracking the country by 1968. The Reps are trying to tap into a general anti-government backlash provoked by the current economic fears. They will probably have some success in 2010 but I don't see who they have running in 2012 who could credibly lead a passionate movement.

Just a bunch of not very interesting retreads and flakes like Palin.

Like this $50 Billion dollar federal bailout of Banks in the Dodd proposal. They know this is not true but they kept this thing going all morning on the talk shows. It was not only on the Fox network.
