It is this way, Tenchu. The Republicans had enough votes to over-ride any veto.

But there is little sign that Clinton opposed it.

So prosperity and a balanced budget happened under Clinton's watch, but the repeal of Galss-Steagall happened under a Republican Congress.


Clinton had a lot to do with it but Congress played their role as well. For an example, it was Clinton and Congress working together that got the welfare rolls reduced. I've never denied that.
