My ideal home would not be a jurisdiction that blows money like crazy, and because it has so little restraint on spending gets itself in to a hole, and then chooses to focus its cuts where they will cause the most pain and difficulty.

Better to contain the initial growth of government, than to have a boom followed by a big bust.


Your thesis sounds very rational. It isn't. Its predicated on reducing gov't to some arbitrary level that makes you feel good. That isn't reasonable at all. That's why the people in CO Springs seem so unreasonable. It has nothing to do with boom or bust. They are only putting into place what you all want.
