I pretty much lost interest in WSTL after Vanni panned it. PLUS: I've turned slightly negative on the smaller companies in the XDSL arena. The telco's are dragging out deployment. I think they're playing wait and see for the COMS ROK lo cost solutions. Meanwhile Cox and UMG will take away large chunks of potential market. Still holding PAIR, but I'm getting impatient with it too.

Plus at this point so many stronger companies are priced so attractively that they demand my attention.

What are you liking now?

Leo

The GTE CLEC announcement today is a bad joke. My lil ole ISP uses two T-1 lines just to service its 28.8 and 33.6 clients. (about 2000 customers with 200 lines active and waiting for another 200 lines)

Sometimes their system slows down a little. [They don't really need two lines but they tap the backbone at different locations.] They also cache a lot of popular sites and provide local access via disk. This for $15 per month. And if you've got a problem just call or drop by. GTE needs to hire some experienced people from the local IP business. The standards and expectations are different. What a botch.
