I find it interesting watching the EU airlines going beserk over the flight restrictions put in place due to the volcanic ash. I mean.....what the hell do they want the EU to do......go out and clear the ash from the air. Of course, they are going to air on the side of caution given the problems that could ensue if a plane gets caught in the ash cloud. And I love how all these airlines are flying planes to test the air and reporting there were no problems......and then NATO sends up an F-16 and it comes back with obsidian caked at the back of the engine. And then one airline head was complaining that the EU was doing a lousy job in handling this crisis. Like, dude, how often have they had to deal with an ash cloud of this magnitude? The whole thing is crazy.
