i think customers are a little smarter now. i am certainly waiting til the R12K ships, quite a few others i know are sitting on it until the new configuration ships. in the past you could take the offered discount, or they would throw in the processor upgrade in lieu of a discount. depending on what you could negotiate, the processor upgrade could be quite expensive. i would like to negotiate a fixed upgrade price on the IR graphics for Octane thats comming, but that's maybe too far off for my needs. i still think it'll put off a number of sales til Q3.
