bateman-

>>The problem is does anyone of the regular bears have the contacts and years of
experience as TK to REALLY know that the fundamentals continue to det....the
company is the best in its field ...if the foreigners dump product is it a company
problem or a commodity problem...or REGULATORY PROBLEM HINT HINT
"DOJ"<<

first, a lot of us have the resources to get the same info hurlcrap does. second, as for MU being the best in its field, to what field are you referring? this is pure speculation that MU is the low cost producer. i dont care if it comes from an analyst who supposedly has gods unlisted number. they are speculating as much as you. you are using the tactic of the big lie (a lie repeated enough times becomes true in the mind of the listener)and you look foolish doing it. as for the DOJ, many of these manufacturers are setting up AMERICAN operations. they wont be foreigners anymore.

larry, SDRAM is under the same pressure EDO is. sure, SDRAM gets a premium right now, but just wait. it wont hold that much longer, especially with MUs movement toward SDRAM. and one more point...most SDRAM quotes i have seen are for 64Mb parts, which MU is not selling in volume.

lets pick our bottom estimates:

i think it will reach bottom in january, at 15.

good luck to all,
trey

Bateman, I guess his contacts and years of experience, his "expertise" if you will, are what enabled 34 of 35 posters to beat his own "expert" numbers last quarter...

...and come within days of calling the short-term top on the $SOX back on 8/6/97 (and unfortunately for our hard-working little queen bee the buzz was for the sector to have an "upside")...

...and IF the rally continues, what could be the short-term bottom - the day he Kurlaked the sector last week; I believe it was last Wednesday?

My hypothesis, based on my own little handy-dandy cycle model, is that Kurlak may have entered LATE-ELVIS STAGE <g>

Good trading,

Tom

bater, tk is in buy real low mode. he will talk mu down and will downgrade at any chance he gets. bad news will be amplified. wait until he turns bullish before buying even one share.

why buy at $25 when you can buy at $15? ;-)

btw, if you can't figure out that a 20%++ slide in dram asps this q is going to kill mu's opsprofits then you are a dolt. we are already looking at another 20% slide for next q, too.

this is ugly. thanks for the donation today. i will soon be up on mu - and up BIG!
