She is popular because she is a personally likable person. The only people who don't think so have taken an outright hateful and vicious attitude toward her for purely partisan reasons, which says nothing about her personally, but says everything about those individuals which needs to be said.

What does that say about her as Presidential timber? Nothing, but it is a huge phenomenon of our times just the same. Such things usually have far reaching consequences.

Very true. Arguably being governor for only a couple years is not the best choice for a President ... however what we all know is Obama was only a Senator for a couple years himself and Palin actually had more executive experience than Obama and Biden combined.

I also like how often she makes Obama respond to her comments.
