Well I'm glad I can be of help here and end some speculation. The reason for the runup is ...... a writeup in a newsletter called Bottom Line Personal (Nov. 15 issue). It is mentioned as a favorite of an ultra small cap manager. It is under the topic of "small caps we like whose price hasn't moved much yet but are ready to move" or something like that. A paragraph on the comapany followed (temp. services right?) The price at the time was 3 7/32. My guess is the stock will pull back a bit after the buying pressure from the article wears off.
regards all.
John

Greg off topic: Glad you followed my lead on SOLP. You were very fortunate not to hold this one very long and got rewarded. My most conservative estimated FV for SOLP at this time next year is $8.40(20*.42)barring no disappointments. Note:the risk level on earnings should be much lower than a tech stock. RE:INDI My reasoning on choosing INDI is two fold one is the phenomenal quarter Wisdomtree had. Hope you are aware that INDI gets 20% profit allocation for the gains earned from the management of the money and the fund was the best performer for the third quarter. Rumor has it the fund was up over 100% in the third quarter alone. Since the magazine operates at a marginal loss. Last tally had Wisdomtree managing 45 million and that level could be much higher. If you do your math 45*.2= 9 mil /6.3= 1.43-.03= 1.40. I am anticipating $1.40 EPS for the third quarter alone. Not bad for a $7 stock. In addition, they have recently hired Bear Stearns to explore strategic alternatives for publishing (i.e. sell the magazine). My figures could be wrong but they made 40 points on 170,000 shares of BTIM and 6 points on 400,000 THQI alone!!! Earnings are coming out next Thursday so you will have very little time to act. I like other stocks but not many have this huge ST potential and Red Chip Review cannot ruin this private party like they have on VARL and VCAI. See the INDI thread in the Misc-Brokers section. People still avoid this one like the plague but the insiders continue to buy. By the way I should be punished harshly for selling 20 Dec 35 ASYT calls last Tuesday acquired at 1 and sold at 1 3/4 on the same day. I just don't have the guts because now they are 5!!! I will be gone Friday and Monday to do some pheasant hunting in Kansas. Good luck to all SOLP fans. P.S. We should compare notes on other potential winners via e-mail. So far I also had success playing themes this year such as internet telephony and digital signal processing- I am currently fully margined but I do have some stocks that should be replaced. Jeff.
