You don't read do you (my previous post). AGP and faster graphics memory, serves the purpose of consumer PC needs.

Interesting that you group AGP with faster graphics memory. The Purpose of AGP is to replace fast graphics memory with slightly less expensive, but slower system RAM for net decrease in performance and increase in overall system cost.

The MediaGX, is just a toy. Incompatible with the rest of the world, and nothing but a 486.

Here is an older benchmark comparing MediaGX and Pentium Classic:

In this test, MediaGX based Compaq Presario actually outperforms Pentium based systems, running at the same clock speed.
