What Kyl said is true. Extending unemployment insurance is not a jobs bill. It doesn't increase employment. Again, you can't acknowledge an obvious fact. It's not the reason we suddenly have 10% unemployment when only a couple of years ago we were at 5%. So, extending unemployment insurance doesn't create jobs. What does that have to do with the reason unemployment has doubled? Nothing. They are two barely related notions on the general topic of unemployment. Kyl's statement doesn't inform your point at all. There's no utility in bringing it up. Suggesting that it's relevant is bizarre.

This guy No he claims no such thing. He claims that extending unemployment benefits is a disincentive to people finding jobs, which it is, so his statement is correct. He doesn't say how big of disincentive it is. And he doesn't say, imply, suggest, or hint at, the idea that either the extension, or unemployment insurance in general is "the reason we suddenly have 10% unemployment when only a couple of years ago we were at 5%." His statement doesn't even vaguely resemble what you claim he said.
