OTOH, if they're giving it away, you'd be a fool to not take it. You can use your iPad to keep track of your Medicaid Medical records.

Unfortunately, I think you're right.

What was really strange to me about this exchange is that I was posting a message board that is about 90% liberal but also almost all in the 25-40 age category. After I questioned the individual about his "need" for government assistance, every post that followed was an attack on me for raising the question -- the inference being that they actually didn't see the problem with Adam being on government assistance. In fact, I don't even think they viewed medicaid as "assistance". It was, indeed, an "entitlement".

When I come across as negative on the future of our country this is the reason I do. I'm not quite sure how this trajectory gets turned around when everyone has his hand out.

Even a family of four with only $50K, isn't exactly desperate poverty, at least not in much of the country. Many families of four or more get by on that much or less.

>> he struggles of families of four is always "so where did the other two mouths to feed come from?".

Last night, on American Idol, they had a family of what appeared to be five - a mom and four kids. They were living in truly pathetic circumstances, which was truly a sad thing.

But I noticed one of the kids was like 2-3 years old, tops, and wondered at what point it occurs to the mom to stop having babies. I mean, really. I felt sorry for the kids and everything but isn't the mom responsible for her own behavior, ever?
