Another meaningless statement that ignores market-based realities.

When you have a set number of service providers, but an increasing number of customers demanding these services, prices will go up.

I agree to the extent that applying market-based principles to the saving of one's own life can be rather inhumane. No one likes to put a value on life.

But the first step toward finding a solution to the cost problem involves accepting certain realities. Good intentions are not an excuse to deny reality.
