Well, that phrase itself, "privatizing SS," is a complete oxymoron. Social Security by design is a public entitlement program. How the hell do you privatize entitlements?

No, I think there are other ways to reform SS and Medicare. Most of it involves means testing. Those who have the means to take care of themselves can find their own "privatized" ways to retire comfortably.
