vigilantism. Not a libertarian principal as I recognize it.

Protection of property in a society is a buyable product. You can contract with someone to do it for you, as we do now by choosing to have a political "State" do it, hire a private service, such as a mercenary, or do it yourself, called "Vigilantism."

There was a similar film, "The Brave One," on a similar theme a few years back. It starred Jodie Foster, who disavowed the principle followed by her character, which was to defend yourself if the cops won't.
