QSI revenue was $2M this quarter. I assume (or I should say hope) that includes QSI investment write-downs. If it doesn't and one assumes Q make $5 per month per sub that translates into 133K paying customers. Does anyone have any idea if that is a number that could be considered in the ball park?

They need subs in the 10M range just to keep swimming. The operators and networks are the only ones with a chance of making money in the game and they likely love the fact we're footing the bills.

Funny thing about all the 'FLO' complaints is I think QCOM is absolutely right about the looming spectrum constraints. QCOM's focus, in part, is on doing things to enable more wireless usage, and the existence of FLO may eventually prove to be a major plus for the industry overall.

With that said, I too would like to see the FLO investment pay off for QCOM---and sooner rather than later would be nice.

Also, it's a bit ironic that Apple has benfited more, lately, than the real enabler of 3G, but I expect lots of Snapdragon enabled phones may alter the current perception of the high-end phone market. Bravo to Apple too for showing again what
thoughtful design can do.
