if they attempt to increase their ownership.. The last I
remember on SEG was they did have some cash to spend,, can't think

Michael, it is impossible for an individual to "hold treasury stock" as you described in your post. Treasury stock, by definition, includes only shares held by the corporation which are first issued and then subsequently reacquired by that corporation (usually through a stock repurchase program).

Regardless, I would love to know why Seagate wrote to you. Could you kindly post the contents of their letter word-for-word?
