Let us hope that never again will humanity endure the DARK AGES where ALL learning is controlled by the Church which allows only such "advancement" as does not challenge their scriptural dogmas and superstitions. Over centuries science has beaten back the dark and terrible ignorance of tribal scripture and Absolute Superstitious "Authority"...at the cost of many wonderful lives and untold human suffering. The fight goes on with "creation was not really 6 days" it was hale bop or bebop or whatever. The fight goes on and on and on for the freedom of the human mind and heart. Very little can be quoted out of the bible anymore without being recognized as absurdity or nonsense. So the bible is become a quaint talisman while "serious" Christians yammer about "intelligent design" as though it could pull Genesis or Joshua or scapegoats or flat/immovable earths or dinosaurs forgetting to write about the tribes...out of the hole.
