Re: "That's understandable. We are coming out of a recession." Yep! (Still... those CBO projections --- that are now being exceeded in a good way --- were only made three months ago. So the degree and the rapidity of the upturn vs. those earlier gloomier predictions is very encouraging.) And, (as I wrote), VERY HEAVY LIFTING remains ahead of us! But soon it will be calendar year 2011, with a new Congress, financial reform and health insurance reform efforts on the books, and still-ongoing huge fiscal difficulties to be addressed, (hopefully a still strengthening national economy though I sure hope!), and... AT THAT POINT IN TIME... I predict that reforming our disgraceful and vastly over-complex and special interest corrupted loophole-ridden unproductive and growth depressing mess of a federal tax code will become ISSUE #1 for the nation.
