So? That is how technology raises the productivity of the worker. Like when they moved to workstations to lay out chips and away from rubylith and Exacto knives. Are you saying that engineers are no more productive than they were 30 years ago?

I am guessing you have never used a cash register. Suffice it to say the input is totally different.
