Virginia Tech to be aired on 106.7 The Fan Virginia Tech fans in the Washington area will get a little closer to Hokies sports in the coming years. Beginning in 2010 seasons, 106.7 FM "The Fan" will become Washington’s new radio home for Hokies sports. The station, WJFK, will air Virginia Tech football and basketball games, as well as the weekly show “Tech Talk Live,” hosted by Bill Roth and featuring Frank Beamer, the football coach, and Seth Greenberg, the basketball coach. An announcement will be made on Monday about the multiyear agreement between "The Fan" and Virginia Tech’s ISP Sports Network. “Northern Virginia and the D.C. market represent Virginia Tech’s largest alumni base, so this is an exciting time for our fans,” Roth said in a statement. voices.washingtonpost.com
