AJM, if the stock is down because of this, the market clearly doesn't understand the time elements being discussed in this article. note that the first precision image was made in 1994, and two years later in 1996 they printed their first .08. the main problem mentioned in the article is "stability" and it is this problem of stability which will give EUV another five to ten years before models for production are ready. i quote <<optical lithography, which today produces features as small as 0.25 microns. While optical techniques
are expected to support another two or so generations of miniaturization (0.18 and 0.13 microns),
techniques using shorter-wavelength radiation sources will be needed to continue doubling the
number of components on a chip every few years through the end of the next decade. >>

note the reference to "another two or so generations" a generation in this regard, I believe is five to ten years at least
