Jacob, what if Naz continues to outperform DOW? Here's the ratio $INDU:$COMPQ - Weekly Line (solid) Note how the ratio dropped below 2 at the internet bubble peak
PS: below any Stockcharts chart there is a 'share' link. Click it and you get several web site choices including ihub which also works for SI if you replace img with chart

I think your anticipation is very smart.

I saw it happening in 2000 and was in cash a little early.

This go round I'll ladder into treasuries and some tips.(assuming I'm lucky enough to get out early and I do view it as luck.

In 2000 I never had bought a treasury and was thinking wrong about paying all those taxes.

If and when rates ever get to 9% again - I'll be loaded in teasuries and hoping that some time in the future a recesion will force the quick dropping of rates.

If held for 12 months,my understanding is the sale of the treasury at a high price (lower yield) is treated as a capital gain and you get the coupon while being paid to wait!

I missed this total return aspect back in 2000 and left huge money on the table as I began reacquiring my favorite stocks WWWAAAYYYY TTOO EARLY !!!

I'd very much like to continue this dialogue as time and events evolve - which I'm very sure they will.

Your plan is a very good and viable plan! IMHO
